It’s been a while since I played the “Blogger Tag” game. As a matter of fact, not since the sweet trio at My Lifelines tagged me in a wonderful challenge: a “Fall Tag Q&A” have I participated in one. And boy do I love these!

This is a wonderful way to get to know you community, your virtual lifelines. And what better time, than Christmas?!

This is indeed my favorite time of the year. And yes, it has everything to do with Advent, a special time for reflection, prayer and hope as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God! But, it’s also about the memories we’ve created along the way.

Honestly, I think about Christmas and my face lights up like a kid. I want to be 7 again, in my little bed at my parent’s home, unable to fall asleep… in anticipation of Santa’s arrival. What will he bring me?

Ahhh, the nostalgia I feel around this time is the best ever!

1. What is my favorite Christmas movie?

This is a purposely hard question, so many options! But what would Christmas be without watching the movie, “Elf?” I can’t even type that word without cracking up. Can you hear him scream: Santaaaa OMGGGGG… I know him!!!!” I love Will Ferrell.

And yes, smiling is my favorite too!

2. What is my favorite Christmas memory?

It’s actually bitter sweet. My favorite memory is that of my father, his last Christmas with us. Gosh, tough to type without tearing up. So many years ago and yet it feels like yesterday.

For a long time, I couldn’t even think about him let alone speak his name. Just couldn’t. But, now I tear up, missing him terribly; but, grateful at the same time. You see, he was sick and on borrowed time. Am so happy we spent that last Christmas together.

Gone; but, not forgotten, Dad.

3. What is my favorite Christmas ornament?

Christmas 2018

No judging; but, this is actually a trick question!! HA! I’m not really attached to any ornament.

I’ve actually toyed with the idea of donating the entire tree each year only to start all over again the next. What do you think?

4. What is my favorite holiday music?

Without a doubt – I love Christmas music with some pizazz! Mariah Carey, Michael Bublé, all day long!

Oh, and what about that amazing duet, Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett?! Yesssss!!! Turn it up, sing it loud!

5. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

It’s a new one! I love getting the house fully Christmassy decked out on Thanksgiving Day! Did I mention it’s my most favorite time of the year? (smile)

It’s a sensory overload! The sights, the sounds, the smells – oh my!

So, now let the holiday blogging fun begin!! I tag Lasonia, Nancy, Lauren, the fabulous team at Women With Gifts  and Bloglove ! Create a new post, answer these 5 questions, link back to this original post, and then tag 5 other bloggers. Yay!!
