Ageless Living: Birthday Manifesto 2019

Grace under construction: I’m a woman who doesn’t talk about her age.

If you’ve been following my ageless living series, you’ll know by now that I’m one of those women who doesn’t talk about her age. Maybe it’s a Southern thing. Or maybe it’s the goddess in me who’d rather publish an annual “Birthday Manifesto” and focus on what’s really important: living life to the fullest!

Aging is an entirely relative concept. True, there is an accumulation of years that naturally occurs; yet, the process doesn’t have to age you. Ageless living is all about perspectives. And is why I feel inspired to write my annual “Birthday Manifesto”.

And that’s true about anything in life: religion, politics, money. How you broach a subject can determine the outcome. Birth days are no different. Once I changed my mindset, I realized that I didn’t need focus on the years I’ve spent on our great planet; but, how I’m maximizing the experience.

Birthday Manifesto 2019

On May 10th, 2019, there will be less candle counting and more blessing acknowledgements. The tradition of blowing out candles has shifted to a post celebratory quiet reflection. And today as I look back, once again I feel incredibly grateful. My life is so wonderful!

In just 12 months I’ve accomplished so much. What I am especially proud of is the legacy that I’m building, the work that I’m doing as a Catholic Mother.

• I attended my first Bible Study! “Fulfilled: Uncovering the Biblical Foundations of Catholicism“. An amazing journey through the Old Testament. “.. An apologetic approach to sharing the Catholic Faith using the Old Testament Tabernacle as a blueprint for God’s plan” – Sonja Corbitt.
• Became a monthly financial supporter of two platforms that are the essential bookends to my day: Catholic Answers, a media ministry serving Christ and providing honest answers to all faith questions and Christian Radio Station K-Love.
• Successfully launched my blog “Prayer and Passports, The Road to Freedom”. A platform for this faith-based lifestyle girlboss blogger!

Changing my perspective has honestly given me a new lease on life!

Trust me when I say that once you move your attention from “how old am I” to “what have I accomplished” you’ll feel just as liberated as I do and light as a feather. Indeed, it’s all about your frame of reference.

No longer, do I dread those quickly approaching birthdays. Now, I look forward to my newly found birthday tradition: taking inventory of my blessings and sharing them with you by way of my annual “Birthday Manifesto”.

The best is yet to come!
